UPDATE: OK, you got me! The previous version really was pretty small, so I have now uploaded a bigger one, making it easier to see all the detail. The lamp was referenced from a stock photo btw, and for the grass and clouds I've used custom brushes.
---------- "I've come to witness the beginning, The rebirth of paradise once spoiled by mankind. You will lead us to paradise with bloodstained hands, And then you will be relieved." Yes it's a bit of a quote from SH, since I felt so much inspired by it! It's being changed, though. Close Up: [link] Could this be Adah, Altair's love from Assassin's Creed? To a friend of mine whom I treasure pretty much she is, and i am proud of that. To me she is what I stated above. And be careful, cause she'll travel long and never give up, until she found and killed you. This painting is also featured in Painter Magazine's issue 23 in the pro corner. ------- Critiques are set to advanced here. That means I am interested in comments which help me to learn something, especially when it comes to light since I am trying to currently practice this every now and then. One [link] comments will as always be marked as spam, since this is, what they are. If you are willing to say something, do it in a constructive way sothat everyone can learn something from it. I am also open for discussion to everyone who writes an advanced critique, no matter if he likes my art or not. PS: Please give *altair-creed a visit since her excellent writings deserve more attention! She is also looking for an artist to team up with her in illustrating some of her awesome stories! Could it be you? CommentsGorgeous. I love the color contrast.
-- Live despite the world around you, not because of it. ~AikoAndHiroAddicts I love how the colour contrast helps the viewer focus on the character. And the details are awesome I would really like to see a close-up of that lamp
There is one thing that bothers me in this painting though. Her breasts seem unnaturally flat under the bodice. And the overall pose looks a bit stiff, maybe because of the right hand But its still gorgeous. |
