UPDATE: This artwork has received many comments of different opinions and I thank you all for that. However, please try to keep in mind that I leave the final interpretation to you. So if you want to be insulted, then feel insulted, but if you want to feel joy, then feel joy.
--------- I have never been a friend of much words for the art that I've done in the past since most of it basically contained of practices which had no great meaning anyways. Knowing that my technique is not perfect, there are certain things I just can't do. I wouldn't be able to paint perfect hands even if my life relied on it, but I also know that this is not aiming to be one of those perfect rendered elves in a forest paintings anways. It is one of my few paintings which actually delivers a message regarding what is going on right now with China, and I hope that you guys know more about China than just that they use to take popular artists' work to spread them on their sites without asking, because their population seems not to be allowed to browse websites like DeviantART, for instance. This should make us think. Try to wonder why this woman so proudly inherits the world, while she also carries the olympian flame in a lantern that would not allow it to be touched by any wind... I really wonder if I will discover this painting on on of my favorite chinese art sites two days after I have published it. I bet they hate me now.   Oh wow this is gorgeous!!! You've smoothed out your lines a lot in this picture and as a result she looks so soft and luscious. I love the colours of the sky in the background.

And yes I totally agree with you about the mess in China! They need to pull their socks up and start treating people properly. Its a gorgeous country with some gorgeous heritage spoiled by some stupid politics! -- he'll be comin' round the mountain for your bones Andy - Dude - Jones  So why did you decide to make the North America the prominent continent on her? I just thought I would ask since the focus is more on China. Or is it trying to draw attention that Americans need to do more about what is going on over seas? Just curious, not trying to start a political war.

When I have been in China I had no problem with browsing deviantart, searching things in google and things like that. I didn't try political searches, I think there is censure but no so much as they told us. Well, I saw the censured version of From Dusk till Dawn and was a 25min movie As always, money and power holds people back from doing the right things.
